3.6.3: Using Music
Music is a powerful tool for emotional regulation, as it directly influences the nervous system. Whether through listening, singing, or creating sound, rhythms and melodies can soothe stress, slow the heart rate, and activate the parasympathetic nervous system, promoting relaxation. Upbeat tempos can boost energy and motivation, while softer, slower sounds can encourage grounding and mindfulness. By engaging with music intentionally, we can find ways to navigate our emotions helping us manage stress.
