3.0: What Does Coping Mean?

In this Section, we will work on what we can do with the awareness created from the previous tasks.
Understanding how we react or respond because of our emotions is important in trying to manage them. In this section, we will spend time going a little deeper into the emotions we experience because of climate-related stress and how to cope while experiencing these emotions
Coping doesn’t mean the emotions go away. Actually, experiencing climate-related stress can be considered a positive response to what’s happening in the world. While it can be extremely hard to sit with difficult realities, coping helps us deal with these challenges. Without healthy ways to cope, stress and difficult emotions can build up, making us feel overwhelmed, stuck, or even unwell.
