3.6: Coping through Art - Build your Coping Toolbox

Coping helps us handle these feelings and situations in a way that keeps us steady, focused, and able to move forward. It’s like having tools in a toolbox that we can pick and choose to help us feel calmer and more in control. When we cope well, we take better care of ourselves and those around us.

The following activities will take you through experiential ways of coping through various modalities like art, music and movement. These techniques rely on our senses - sight, sound, smell, taste and feeling. As you try out these tasks, we hope you find ways to build your own coping toolbox.
